In the last decade, Risk Management and in particular, Cybersecurity, has moved centre stage in the business environment of credit unions and financial services companies.

It is a significant and constantly changing risk which must be managed in a comprehensive manner and it is imperative that businesses are fully aware of this environment in order to put themselves in a position to mitigate the associated risks.

This website has two objectives:

(1) Raise the awareness of the Cybersecurity Environment by providing useful links to various government bodies and agencies who provide on-going information and advice to business on this matter.

(2) Advocate the adoption, by credit unions and financial services companies, of cybersecurity associated standards, in particular ISO/IEC 27001:2013.

CU-ISO Solutions Ltd. was established to assist credit unions and financial service providers to implement and adopt an Information Security Management System, utilising ISO/IEC 27001: 2013, as the key cornerstone.

The company was established by Michael McHugh, a credit union professional who has worked in the sector for a number of decades and served as CEO for a number of decades Ireland largest credit unions.
